SUMMARY:Public Hearing for Civic Participation in Developing the 2017 Action Plan
DESCRIPTION:Develop Louisville will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday\, February 28th starting at 6:00 pm at Western Library\, located at 604 S. 10th St. The focus of the hearing will be the use of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) entitlement grants for the next fiscal year (July 1\, 2017 – June 30\, 2018). \nEntitlement grant funding includes Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)\, HOME Investment Partnerships\, Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)\, and Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA). These grant funds are used to provide decent\, affordable housing\, ensure suitable living environments\, and expand economic opportunities\, principally for low and moderate income persons. This public hearing will focus on identifying the needs and priorities of the community. A second public hearing will be held in late April after the draft plan is published for comment. \nIf you or your organization would like to present comments regarding the prioritization of services and programs\, please come prepared to speak briefly on these matters.
