DESCRIPTION:The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights established the\nKentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame in 2000 to\nrecognize the men and women who are and/or have been leaders in\nthe struggle for equality and justice in the Commonwealth of\nKentucky\, to raise public awareness about human rights issues\, and\nto foster an environment for discussion and education regarding\nKentucky civil rights history and ongoing challenges.\nOut call for nominations resulted in 29 individuals. All of the\nnominees will be recognized at this event. Also during this event\, we\nwill be inducting individuals who have demonstrated their\ncommitment to Kentucky’s Civil Rights Movement\, into the\nKentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame.
