SUMMARY:Poetry and Art in Motion
DESCRIPTION:The Muhammad Ali Childhood Home Museum\, in partnership with The Parkland Boys & Girls Club is excited to present “Poetry and Art in Motion” \nPoetry and Art in Motion is a free open mic event held at Parkland Boys and Girls Club. Poetry and Art in Motion was created to promote and raise awareness of the performing arts and their benefits in our communities\, as well as\, celebrate the legacy of the great Muhammad Ali. A collaboration between The Muhammad Ali Childhood Home Museum and The Parkland Boys and Girls Club\, we designed Poetry and Art in Motion to showcase talent within our community and simply enjoy the art. We seek to provide a safe space for artistic expression\, experimentation and development across all genres. It is open to artists of all mediums seeking to share their creative energy and unique perspective. Guests will experience an enjoyable night of spoken word/poetry\, art\, song and more. All generations of the Parkland and surrounding communities are invited to share their artistic talent. \nAll performances must be based on Muhammad Ali’s 6 principles:\n-Confidence\n-Conviction\n-Dedication\n-Giving\n-Respect\n-Spirituality
