Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

September 21, 2017 @ 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm

| Free

The Kentucky Commission on Human Rights established the
Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame in 2000 to
recognize the men and women who are and/or have been leaders in
the struggle for equality and justice in the Commonwealth of
Kentucky, to raise public awareness about human rights issues, and
to foster an environment for discussion and education regarding
Kentucky civil rights history and ongoing challenges.
Out call for nominations resulted in 29 individuals. All of the
nominees will be recognized at this event. Also during this event, we
will be inducting individuals who have demonstrated their
commitment to Kentucky’s Civil Rights Movement, into the
Kentucky Civil Rights Hall of Fame.
